Protection of ICT from dust and dirt during renovations
If an existing data center is expanded or converted, suitable dust protection measures must be defined, planned and implemented. Because the ICT systems installed in them are otherwise unprotected and exposed to dust and dirt. With our clean rooms, we ensure that the dust particles that are brought into the room or are created there are as low as possible. Other parameters such as temperature, humidity and pressure are also kept constant and monitored in order to create constant conditions at all times. In order to ensure the requirements according to the ISO 14644 classification, we use different and coordinated procedures.
Access to our clean rooms is via personnel and material locks, in which strong air currents and filter systems whirl up and suck off existing particles. The purity of the air is ensured with a multi-stage filtering as well as negative and positive pressure. This prevents additional contamination from outside being carried into the protected area. In addition, we carry out particle quantity measurements in the server rooms that we protect, thus ensuring constant room cleanliness.
